How I started
I started the screen-printing journey by printing for other shops, working on projects for high-profile clients like NASCAR teams, all of the ACC basketball teams, colleges across the country, law enforcement agencies, and countless local businesses. Eventually, I decided to open my own part-time screen-printing business. Like most shops, the biggest challenge I faced was figuring out pricing—it was difficult to stay competitive while ensuring profitability.
As time went on, I took on a full-time role as a Continuous Improvement Expert for a multinational company, which led me to slow down on printing. However, through my work, I gained a deeper understanding of efficiency and pricing models. In 2018, I started building an Excel-based pricing program to help simplify the process. I released a BETA version and listened to every piece of feedback I received, using those insights to refine the tool.
Over the years, I continued improving the pricing model in my free time, and now we’re excited to launch Print Cost Wizard V2.
